Fresh & Inviting

This renovation, home to Martha and Ben, and dog Bear, opened up a dark and dated kitchen. Transforming the entire living space into an open plan, it connects the front yard through to the rear alfresco, making room for entertaining with their large family.

The Inspiration

Inspired by a kitchen featured in a previous Farquhar magazine, Martha knew from the get-go that Laminex’s Bayleaf was the green for her, ‘I fell in love with the colour’ she says.

The Detail

The Bayleaf base cabinets are paired with Farquhar Porcelain Form cabinetry, featuring a striking vertical panel detail, adding warmth and texture to the upper and tall cabinets.

The Benchtops

The benchtop and splashback showcases Dekton’s Aeris; a 12mm porcelain product, in a colour that boasts light tones with cream-coloured detail and matches perfectly with the cabinetry. ‘The Dekton looks amazing’, says Martha, ‘I love the splashback being the same as the benchtop’.

"I loved playing with colours and styles in the showroom. It was fun, we got excited."
