Designer Spotlight: Megan

We’re back with another Designer Spotlight, giving you a glimpse into the creative minds behind our stunning designs.

This week, we’re featuring Megan. Drawing on her professional roots in architecture and food photography, Megan has spent the last five years designing exceptional kitchens here at Farquhar.

Can you tell us a little about yourself and your passions?

I’ve been part of the team since 2020. My background includes a Master of Architecture and food photography, which has shaped my eye for detail.

Outside of work, I’m usually mid-renovation, dreaming up the next project for my home, or planning my next adventure, whether that’s travelling overseas or getting outdoors locally.

What is your favourite design style and why?

I don’t have a single favourite style. I prefer to let the client’s brief guide each project, creating considered designs that complement the home, reflect the client, and balance detail with everyday functionality.

What do you love most about working as a designer?

Seeing how a transformation can positively change the way people live is what I love most,  creating spaces that feel both beautiful and functional, and watching a project evolve from concept to completion.

What has been your favourite Farquhar project to work on and why?

I can’t choose just one. I’m most inspired by large transformations where clients trust the process and embrace my wildcard ideas. These projects often involve layout changes, a kitchen island, and a more functional, inviting space, suited for modern living.
