Despite the differing elements, the result of the couple's recent home renovation envelopes the kitchen and living area in a cohesive, warm and well balanced unique style.
Cabinetry
The kitchen’s foundation – the cabinetry – is a traditional shaker style profile door in white. From there, the elements that give the kitchen its layers of intricacy are added, each especially chosen to complement the art filled surroundings.
Splashback & Benchtops
The splashback and benchtops feature an organic rush of grey tones, chosen to enhance the dark wooden artwork featured atop the meticulously designed cabinetry. A nod to the couple’s love of industrial design is evident in the pendant lighting and bar stools, both tying in with the organic black and honey timber hues.
The Island
A key feature is the generous island, and the versatility it provides for entertaining, meals, and storage. ‘Our designer understood what we wanted, both for entertaining and the way we live’ explains Danny, ‘the kitchen area works really well’. Overall this kitchen is classic and elegant in its alignment to the architectural features of the home, with touches of industrial and contemporary design, and a focus on the artwork and personality of its owners. A wondrous space.
