A delight for owners Danielle and Steve, who had been using their Butler’s pantry as a temporary kitchen for over a year, however a loss of an indoor soccer field for sons Grisha and Max, who had been repurposing the vacant kitchen space to their taste!

Warm Tones

In a home full of warmth, colour, and vibrancy, the kitchen design needed to follow suit. The result is a mid-century modern inspired two-tone palette.

Colour Balance

Farquhar’s Porcelain, a warm-toned white, and Laminex’s Moroccan Clay, a luscious, earthy tone akin to clay fresh from a potter’s kiln create a perfect pairing of neutral and bold. The triangular balance of colour, with difference in application and size, draws the eye and adds interest.

Classic Curves

The benchtops are a slimline 20mm Tocco. ‘I love the floating element of the benchtop’, says Danielle, created by using a 25mm shadowline. A gentle curve to one corner is a nod to mid-century modern aesthetic, echoed in the curved vibrant cabinetry.

The splashback design is clean and intentional, featuring a subtle gloss linear tile that complements the Moroccan Clay open shelving, and an upstand of the benchtop that avoided the need to cut tiles.
