Cabinetry
Cabinetry in the Kiev 20 profile, a modern update to the traditional shaker, is subtle in its detail. White Grey in colour, it defines the space and compliments the natural elements of timber, brass, and marble.
Benchtops
The natural marble captivates across the island benchtop and splashback; in a palette of white and grey, full of warmth, texture, and organic movement. ‘We wanted a modern extension with a tad of heritage to it, to tie it to the original house’ explains Ninette.
Layout
This kitchen is designed for entertaining. The large island fits seating on one side with space for food preparation on the other. An integrated french door fridge is located between the island, main cooking area, and large dining area, while a feature cooker sits proudly against the back wall. With a large extended family, ‘we needed the space to entertain comfortably’ says Ross, and the design is perfectly suited.
Function
A pantry tucked around the corner is complete with a second sink, dishwasher, and plenty of storage. Having come from a small kitchen previously, both Ross and Ninette knew what they were looking for. ‘Having as much storage and as much cupboard space as possible was key,’ explains Ross.
