Curve Appeal

Curves are making a comeback into Australian kitchen design, with so many ways to add them in, big or small!

We’re loving subtle curves that soften the sharp lines in cabinetry runs and add aesthetic appeal to the kitchen.

Curves become a focal point of the kitchen, creating a homely feeling and sense of connectedness. They work well in open plan living spaces, creating a smooth transition between the kitchen and dining or living space.

An easy way to add curves into your kitchen is by rounding the edge of your benchtop, like in this Organic Minimalist kitchen. The curved open end creates an inviting space for friends and family to sit around, whilst also complementing the cylindrical rangehood and goose neck mixer tap.

A different example in a benchtop is in the curved waterfall edge in this Modern European kitchen. It softens the long benchtop run and adds visual appeal, tying in with the curved rangehood feature.

Lastly, our Calming Curves kitchen incorporates lots of roundness; in the benchtop, rangehood and the cabinetry edge, creating an inviting seating nook. The curves complement the arched doorways whilst balancing the sharp angles of the herringbone floors.
