Laminate

This is the most common and cost effective finish. Laminate is extremely versatile, it can be used in all flat door applications, as well as selected matching benchtops.

Available in a range of matte and gloss colours, there’s something to suit every design style.

Laminate cabinetry has an outer layer made from paper and resin, and is finished off with a high quality edge strip. Due to this make up, laminate is extremely durable and low maintenance. It’s a great cost effective option, especially for busy homes with a lot of kitchen traffic.

The laminate cabinetry colour range is by far the largest, with many naturals, pastels, or bright pops of colour available to choose from.

One key benefit of laminate is that many colours can also be made in a laminate benchtop product, meaning cabinetry and benchtops are perfectly matching. While this isn’t so common in current kitchen trends, it is used extensively in laundries, studies, and vanities.

The choice between gloss or matte cabinetry is made easy by matching your design style. Gloss is great at brightening and reflecting light in a room. It does, however, tend to show fingerprints more than its matte opposition. This is something to consider, especially if you’re after a handleless look. Matte on the other hand, loses the shiny wow-factor, however is incredibly durable and easy to clean.

A complementing kitchen space to the open plan of the living spaces in the home. The design is functional and harmonious.

Matte

Ultra hardwearing, as it won’t easily show fingerprints, and is easy to clean. Looks great in a two-tone kitchen cabinetry design.

G shape open long white gloss kitchen. Large breakfast bar and seating area. mirrored splashback. Double ovens.

Gloss

Well suited to a modern kitchen, with simple clean lines. The gloss finish reflects light and brightens a space.

Hushed pine galley kitchen with white accents and brass hardware. Warm timber features add elegance and style.

Colour

A wide variety of lights and whites, plus many options in greys, warm neutrals, and bold colour.

A classic white kitchen with striking black features. Yellow and vibrant colour pop art work with curved under bench cabinetry and polished concrete floor.

Durable

Crafted to withstand the rigours of daily use, laminate is impressively scratch, wear, stain, moisture, and impact-resistant, offering peace of mind.

Timber Grain Laminate

This is the most cost effective timber finish. Timber grain laminate echoes real timber, while offering better durability and longevity.

Available in a range of natural timber varieties, from oaks to walnuts, to maples, and more.

Timber grain laminate has the same practical make up as a flat colour laminate, however the printed grain feature is what sets it apart. While still a very cost effective option, it does mean that the investment is slightly higher for timber grain kitchen cabinetry in comparison to a single colour.

Timber grain shares the same durability and low maintenance benefits of coloured laminate, and is actually better at hiding fingerprints and spills due to the varying colour of the doors.

The design of timber grain has come a long way over the years, and the printed representation of timber is incredibly realistic. The laminate products are in line with the look and feel of timber veneer, at a much more affordable price point.

Timber grain brings warmth, texture, and movement to a design.

Colour

From whitewash, through to oaks, walnuts, darks, and more.

Featured black gloss tiled splashback with a white zenith look benchtop and a timber grain highlight, flowing onto the identical butlers pantry.

Durable

Just like its colour counterpart, timber grain laminate is also extremely durable.

Herringbone splashback tile, overheads in Laminex rural oak.

Pairable

Great to pair with a neutral in a two tone kitchen, adding warmth, without being overpowering.

2 Pac

2 pac cabinets feature a hardened paint finish on the doors and panels. The name comes from the paint being a combination of paint and hardener.

As a paint product, 2 pac cabinetry can be done in any colour. There are no limitations on the colour range available.

Similar to our Form range, 2 pac is suitable for use on a profile door or panel, and is often used to create a traditional Hamptons style kitchen.

One of the limitations however, is that 2 pac is susceptible to chipping, given it is a paint finish, rather than a laminate finish. This is something to consider if you have a busy kitchen.

Colour

Investment

Manufacturing 2 pac cabinetry is a more labour intensive process, which means the investment is greater than a similar product like Form.

Timber Veneer

The timber veneer layer provides an organic and natural finish, feel, and movement to a space.

It offers the visual appeal and warmth of real wood, at less of an investment than solid timber. As a natural product, the colours and styles available match many of our common timber varieties, and include the natural graining and knots as part of their design. This is unlike laminate timber grains, where the grain can be controlled to remove large discrepancies in colour and pattern.

While timber veneer remains a popular for inspiration, developments in laminate timber grain are quickly catching up to mirroring veneer in the look and feel of the product, while having the benefit of being a far more versatile and cost effective option.

Customised Design

Customisation of cabinetry is key for good design. When renovating, no two rooms are the same, just as no two families have the same lifestyle, likes and dislikes, and priorities in a space. Custom design allows for a unique and tailored kitchen.

Small Appliance Solutions

More and more in kitchen design are we seeing small appliances being cleverly secreted away from view, but still ultra accessible for daily use. Kitchen cabinet options like nooks, bifold or pocket doors atop benchtops, or vertical opening cabinets can be great ways to achieve this look. Consider how you use everyday items such as a microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and so on, and how they can be incorporated into a design.

Corner Cabinets

A common query in regards to cabinetry is what to do with corners. There’s several options available, from a corner return, which opens deep into the space, to a bifold corner, which provides access along both sides. Or the third option, a void, which is sometimes the most practical.
