The renovation involved relocating the kitchen, and introducing a laundry/butlers that extends from the main open plan living area. The key was to create a more functional space that suited family living.
Blue Denim
The kitchen’s masterpiece is the central island, clad in vertical striped profile Form Matte panels in a vibrant denim blue. ‘We knew we wanted some colour’ explains Liviana.
Pops of Colour
More colourful pops come from the pastel pink bar stools, and the brushed gold Oliveri Essente tap. The island is ultra functional for the family, with the kids often eating their meals at the pink stools.
Form & Function
In a smaller space, function was extremely important. Integrated bin drawers were a must-have, as was an induction cooktop. ‘With the designer, we’ve made the best use of the space. Good form and function’ says Liviana. ‘It’s compact but feels very spacious’.
Matching Laundry
The open laundry is a continuation of the white grey kitchen tones, replicated in laminate cabinetry and benchtop. Matching kitkat splashback tiles marry the two spaces.
