The modern family spends more time in the kitchen than generations before, and kitchen designs have changed in response. Hundreds of ideas are on display at the two Farquhar showrooms – 144 Magill Road Norwood and 482 Marion Road Plympton Park – from quirky storage solutions to stunning cabinetry and everything in between.
Farquhar co-owner Cathy Farquhar says kitchen styles and trends have come a long way in the past 10 years, and so has the technology used to design each individual kitchen.
“The showrooms feature a huge variety of designs and finishes that help people make choices about the type of kitchen that’s right for their lifestyle and style of home,” Cathy says. “We suggest spending a good amount of time wandering around the displays, pulling out drawers, opening cabinets and considering colours. Being able to touch and feel the kitchens is so important. We constantly update our kitchens on display to represent developing kitchen trends, as well as showcasing the best new products.”
Farquhar kitchen designers work with customers in a dedicated design area to bring their ideas to life.
“During your appointment, your designer will advise and guide you through the various options for room layout, materials and colour selections. Our designers are kept up to date with the latest products as they come onto the market – in fact, we’re often able to source a product before it becomes available anywhere else,” Cathy says.
